THE LAST COLUMNIST®
NATIONAL SECURITY REPORT:Immigration and the BorderBy: AKA THE LAST COLUMNIST The interests that financially support the American one-party political system masquerading as a two-party political system dictate the border/labor pool policy. The public is shown both political sides arguing over immigration policy, but the border itself remains as it was. People in the government for the last 50 years have perpetuated the influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico, Central America, and South America out of concern for their corporate benefactors. Illegal immigration will never be stopped at the southern border as long as corporations need cheap labor. Although the time I spent in the desert southwest of the United States didn't pertain to immigration, I heard every immigration theory on record. While everybody seems to have the answer to U.S. immigration policy, THE LAST COLUMNIST has noticed there are a few questions that remain for Americans: are they ready to suffer the full consequences of eliminating immigrant labor; and do they think their government is working in the best interest of the PEOPLE they are elected to represent. The American people have to be ready for out-of-control inflation if their immigration laws are ever enforced. If corporations have to pay American union labor $20 an hour with benefits to pick the corporate orchards, or work on a corporate farm, then Americans will have to pay for the added cost to produce the desired goods. Will Americans be willing to pay $30 for a gallon of orange juice or $100 for a bad steak at the supermarket? I'm sorry to say that is what will happen if illegal immigrants are kicked out of American society. The majority of the food service industry will never survive without cheap immigrant labor. |
What can the United States government do to solve the border crisis? First it has to actually recognize the southern border as a crisis, rather than seeing it as an opportunity to exploit race and class warfare. The policy makers provide their corporate backers with cheap labor and at the same time they pit Americans against each other on racial and class lines. Both political sides pander to their respective sides, which accomplishes nothing but the assurances of being re-elected. If the government really wanted to protect the border it would turn the desolate border regions into military bases, or make a land grant to several Native American tribes. A land grant to the Native Americans would be the best solution since they would be more likely to patrol the border. Why not do something instead of just talking about it for decades? It appears that the people elected to represent Americans in government are loyal to a collective corporate entity. They can only perpetuate policy that is drawn up by their corporate donors. If amnesty and open borders are what international corporations want, then that is what the United States will get. If enough people have been let in for the employment pool, then the government might shut down the border for SHOW. THE LAST COLUMNIST is not arguing for or against our current immigration policy, but trying to explain that there is actually a well planned method to the apparent madness known as the American Immigration Policy. I have discussed the problem and told you why nothing has been done about it for a very long time. I also wrote down how the problem can be solved if the U.S. government had ever wanted to put a stop to illegal immigration. It's all about retaining power and being loyal to the corporations that give power. Do you love or hate THE LAST COLUMNIST? Why does it exist?
