Opening Discussion on the Environment

As my readers have recognized I appreciate the Great Outdoors and all efforts to preserve our National Forests, Great Lakes and Freedom. In some of my future articles I will expand on the environmental issues I have already raised; such as using corn and now algae for fuel production. The World's food supply, including the oceans, shouldn't be used for cars. It will greatly upset a balance in the ocean with wide scale algae destruction. Unless there will be giant algae farms owned by the Oil Companies.
I will discuss better uses for the Mississippi River. Instead of just moving barge traffic, flooding the Midwest and dumping into the Gulf of Mexico, start a massive Western State Irrigation Project. As mentioned in my article Newspapers vs. Hazardous Computer Waste. Watch for articles discussing these subjects along with the Southwestern U.S. Model Forest ideas I'm having in regards to the Mississippi River. I want to save our old growth forests and Redwoods. I think we can find even more work for lumber related employees by having them work on the new model forests created through the irrigation project.

Incoming: Ideas To Save Our Country's Natural Resources

I hope you will find this section a good source of discussion meant to help people find innovative solutions for the World's present environmental condition. Whether it is energy concerns, forest and wildlife management, food production and starvation or the Great Lakes in relation to the World's water supply.

I will have articles on the need for massive Solar Power projects and better uses for the Mississippi River through irrigation of the Southwest United States, for our new Model Forests. These Model Forests will also create wildlife ecosystems for the public's multiple use in the current forest management system.

I will publish articles on what I think could solve environmental problems facing the World, or make them worse. I will write about ideas I hear from others in order to increase our exchange of thought on these important subjects facing our Country and its survival. I will leave the engineering side for Scientists, Civil Engineers and Physicists to figure out how to implement the solutions. Or deem the ideas impossible from an engineering or economic standpoint.

There will be articles on international projects such as the Three Gorges Dam in China and the disastrous long term impact this and other projects have on the environment and society. There are many problems around the world that need our attention and many ways to solve them. Even International Nuclear Power projects for so called peaceful purposes are dangerous for the environment in the hands of dangerous regimes.

I believe Solar Power, along with Nuclear Power, is the best answer we have for non-stop renewable sources of power. We just need some scientists to come up with a way to render the nuclear waste inert after we are done producing the power. The current method of dealing with waste is not acceptable in my opinion. I will also discuss ideas for a Strategic Coal Reserve and it's ramifications on land use after the fact. As I stated earlier, I leave the rest for the powers that be to figure out after the public hands them the job. Coming soon.
